The fly-first pitch design deploys weather protection immediately using an opposing pole system that minimizes condensation buildup between the fly and inner. The 210T Polyester Ripstop flysheet carries a 5000mm waterproof polyurethane coating with fully taped seams, and the bathtub-style 190T Nylon groundsheet adds a matching 5000mm waterproof rating underfoot. The 87 x 43 inch sleeping area accommodates three people in a head-to-toe arrangement, with a front porch that provides covered gear storage and can shelter up to six people sitting down in an emergency. At a packed size of 17 x 8 inches, the Scorpion 3 IX delivers genuine four-season capacity without dominating pack space.
