Uncontrolled bleeding is the number‑one preventable cause of death on the battlefield. The TCCC manual notes that more than 90 % of combat deaths are related to hemorrhage and recommends hasty tourniquet application during Care Under Fire. Rapidly stopping life‑threatening bleeding buys time to manage other injuries.

Hands‑on practice is vital. The training supplies we carry training include trauma manikins, wound simulators and bleeding‑control trainers designed to teach tourniquet application and wound packing. Enroll in a Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) or Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) course and practice with inert tourniquets and gauze to build muscle memory. Many training kits are reusable and include replacement skins or inserts for continued use and practive.

Tourniquets, pressure bandages and hemostatic gauze are three must have tools for hemorrhage control. These items are recommended by the Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care (CoTCCC) and form the core of any M.A.R.C.H. kit.
