IO in a Box Simulator

The Techline IO in a Box™ task trainer is for training students in Interosseous fluid administration using the proximal tibia administration site. Skin and bone density give students realistic feedback while using either a manual or powered IO insertion (not included). Comes with replacement bone inserts. Not recommended for spring loaded IO systems.

Construction:

• The PTT-B51 is made of high-quality silicone rubber, providing realistic skin and tissue representation.
• Layers of coloration add depth and realism to the product.
• Constructed with SOFTTECH® material, it offers a realistic feel and high durability, along with UV resistance.

Operation:

• Stored in its own case, the task trainer requires removal of extra bone inserts before use.
• Stabilize the device during operation and apply pressure to penetrate the skin, advancing the tool into the bone insert.
• Bone inserts can be replaced as necessary for continued use.

Maintenance:

• After use, flush the simulation with clean water to clean it thoroughly.
• Rinse the device in clean, warm water and allow it to dry completely before storing.
• Cleaning can involve mild detergents like dish soap or disinfecting agents such as isopropyl alcohol or diluted bleach solution, due to its chemical resistance.
