North American Rescue

North American Rescue (NAR) is the standard against which prehospital trauma equipment is measured, supplying casualty care products to the U.S. military, law enforcement, EMS agencies, and prepared civilians. Founded by Robert Castellani and headquartered in Greer, South Carolina, NAR developed its product line in direct collaboration with the military trauma and special operations medical community, with a mission focused on decreasing preventable death at the point of injury. When agencies specify equipment for bleeding control programs, NAR products are frequently the benchmark.

You'll find NAR's patented Combat Application Tourniquet, the Official Tourniquet of the U.S. Army since 2005 and the most widely fielded tourniquet in service, along with HyFin chest seals, trauma dressings, wound packing gauze, decompression needles, and complete IFAKs, aid bags, and mass casualty systems. NAR's line covers the equipment side of Tactical Combat Casualty Care from end to end.

Two things are worth knowing when buying NAR equipment. First, generation matters: products like the CAT are refined over time, and the current Gen 7 reflects design changes from documented field use, so verify you're getting current-generation devices when comparing prices. Second, the CAT's success has made it the most counterfeited trauma device on the market, and fake tourniquets sold through online marketplaces often fail under load, which is the practical reason to source from an established supplier.

NAR equipment pairs naturally with the rest of a medical loadout. Secure your tourniquet in a tourniquet pouch, keep kits stocked with resupply kits, carry larger loads in medical bags, and build skills through our training equipment.
