High Speed Gear (HSGI) manufactures battle-proven tactical nylon gear for military personnel, law enforcement officers, and responsibly armed citizens who need equipment that adapts as their mission changes. The company started as a custom shop in 1999, building gear for Marines at Camp Lejeune, and has since grown into the largest full-time employer in Swansboro, North Carolina, where its products are still made. Every piece of HSGI gear is 100% American-made and warranted to the original owner against defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the product.

This category includes HSGI's signature TACO pouches, the adaptive magazine pouch line that secures pistol and rifle magazines, flashlights, multitools, handcuffs, and OC spray without dedicated retention hardware, alongside utility and medical pouches, chest rigs, Sure-Grip padded belts and inner/outer belt systems, weapon slings, and mounting attachments. What defines HSGI is adaptive retention. The TACO's design uses side plates tensioned by shock cord, allowing one pouch to hold different magazine sizes or similarly shaped items with consistent security, a practical advantage for users who switch weapon platforms or duties without wanting to rebuild their kit. HSGI designs are user-driven, refined through feedback from operational end users, and most pouches mount to MOLLE, belts, or both through interchangeable hardware. Newer laser-cut laminate construction reduces weight and bulk compared to traditional woven webbing builds.
