North American Rescue Hypothermia Prevention & Management Kit

 The HPMK-I™ (Insulated) is a patent-pending version of the successful CoTCCC recommended HPMK®, designed to meet new CoTCCC guidelines. It features a reinforced Heat Reflective Shell - Insulated™ that is lightweight, flexible, strong, and impervious to wind and rain. The HRS-I™ is made of a 5-ply composite fabric with a non-conductive reflective layer and a new insulation layer that provides excellent thermal retention.

 The kit allows for rapid 360° access to the casualty with minimal exposure to the elements thanks to 1.5 in. continuous hook and loop closures located along the perimeter of the covering. The HRS-I™ also has an insulated top-to-bottom tapered shape to maximize isothermal capabilities.

 The HPMK-I™ is powered by a self-heating, oxygen-activated 4-Cell Ready Heat blanket that can sustain up to 10 hours of continuous dry heat without requiring an external power supply. The low cube kit is vacuum-packaged in a rugged, pliable pouch with NAR's Red Tip Technology® and tabs that allow for easy access and rapid deployment.

 The new top and bottom insulation layers of the HPMK-I™ exceed the insulation value of the Army Module Sleep System Patrol Bag. The insulation is highly compressible with excellent rebound after opening, and it is also hydrophobic, meaning it won't retain fluids or additional liquid weight.
