CRO Medical Pelvic Binder

The patented tightening system makes it easy to reduce and stabilize open-book pelvic fractures. The CRO pelvic binder is designed to fit 95% of the population using the Standard size and can be easily packed flat.

With the BOA precision dial system, achieving at least 33lbs (150N) of circumferential force is reliable and has been thoroughly tested. The BOA hardware was specifically chosen to eliminate human error during application, as the average human hand can only tighten between 40-50 lbs.

There have been no cases of over-reduction in the CPG's, so achieving pressure over the minimum is highly desired. Knowing when enough pressure has been applied requires no thought, simply tighten until you can no longer tighten.

According to the CoTCCC update released on January 31st, 2017, pelvic binding is recommended under "Circulation" for bleeding control, as high-energy battlefield MOIs are commonly associated with significant morbidity and mortality due to associated vascular injuries. In fact, 26% of service members who died in OEF/OIF had a pelvic fracture.
