RTG SRO Class Overview
We had the pleasure on August 12th of sponsoring, attending, and participating (partly) in School Resource Officer Training ran by Readiness Training Group NJ LLC. For 7 hours, 30 officers went through Firearms Training, Breaching Training, and TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Care). This was a completely free course with the purpose of preparing our officers for emergency situations inside of a school, an unfortunate reality.
We learned some amazing things including how to save a life in the event of massive hemorrhaging. At the end of the day, taking immediate care to a wound can save almost 90% of patients in comparison to waiting for emergency services. Even in at home situations, it is important for individuals to learn how to effectively stop bleeding. We would like to say thank you to Readiness Training Group NJ LLC and all the other sponsors that came out.
